It is very exciting to be back with our 12th season of Balanchine's The Nutcracker!!  

Audition Call

School of Oregon Ballet Theatre - Level 1 through Level 5 Students

September 13, 2014 (Saturday)

Registration (Levels 1 - 5, Boys & Girls)                              2:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Measurements/Processing (Level 1 - 5, Boys & Girls)    2:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Audition (Level 1 – 5, Boys & Girls)                                     3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Level 1 Release                                                          4:30 PM (approximately)

Levels 2 - 5 Release                                                        5:30 PM (approximately)

Children’s roles to be cast include:

Marie, Fritz, Party Girls, Party Boys, Maids, Nephew/Prince,

Soldiers, Sentry, Trumpeter, Bunny, Angels, Chinese, Candy Canes, Polichinelles

Students:

• Please wear appropriate SOBT class level attire/color for the audition.  No skirts, warm-up clothes, or legwarmers during the actual audition. 
• Girls, please arrive with your hair up, in a neat bun, with no bangs.  No bun scrunchies, barrettes, ribbons, or jewelry.
• Please eat lunch before arriving at OBT.  Only water bottles will be allowed in the warm-up waiting area (Studio 2).
• Feel free to bring books, homework, playing cards, or other quiet activities to keep yourselves occupied while waiting. 

Parents:

• All students must have a Production Release and Commitment form signed and dated by both the parent/guardian and the student before the student will be allowed to audition.  Forms can be found in your SOBT registration packets.  No other forms are necessary for the audition.  
• This is a closed audition.  We would prefer the student be dropped off at the front door as per normal SOBT procedure.  Parents do not need to come in and register their child.
• Release will be from the back door.  Please park and walk to the back door to pick-up your child. Give your name and your child’s name to staff; your child will be released to you at that time.

All casting decisions are at the sole discretion of Oregon Ballet Theatre.

Audition attendance does not guarantee a role. Rehearsal participation does not guarantee performance.

Pictures and more pictures....

Nutcracker group photos may be picked up on Saturday.  If you have not paid, please bring your money this Saturday.

I am looking for someone who knows about online photo sharing sites.  I have pictures from Midsummer, the Macy's parade, and backstage at the Nutcracker that I would like to share.  I am sure there are chaperones who also have photos to share.  I would like the site to be secure.  If anyone knows the best way to make this happen, please email me at:  shari.goss@obt.org

GROUP PHOTOS

Hello,

Slight change of plans....  I will be at the ASP rehearsal this Saturday, February 1st, from 1:00 - 5:00pm.  I will have all of the group photos out for your perusal.  At that time you may make a purchase or put in an order.  The cost for any group photo is $5.00. 

This will be the ONLY day to place an order or purchase group pictures!

NUTCRACKER PHOTOS and GROUP SHOTS

Hello,

Nutcracker photos have gone out.  If you did not receive your photos, please email me at:  shari.goss@obt.org.  For those who ordered the email version, I will send them today. 

I have a wonderful variety of group photos that many girls wanted taken.  At the time I asked that the girls only take photos that they are interested in purchasing!  PLEASE take a look at the photos and let me know which pictures you would like to buy.  (I will try and get the pictures out tomorrow before class.) 

ALL group photos will cost $5.00/each!!




   

T-Shirts and Photos

Shirts are at the studio.  Please remember to pick yours up when you are here for class.  I will place a second order next week (rather than tomorrow.)  If you are interested in ordering a shirt, I have finally uploaded the order form under "Pages".  You may hand your order and money in to Shari or Karin.  

Photos should be available next week for pick up.  If you have not turned your order in let me know before tomorrow, so we are sure to print your photos!
